Turkey & Avocado Burger

Recipe makes one burger

 

Ingredients:

200g lean turkey mince

1tbsp olive oil

Handful of chopped fresh basil

Salt & Pepper

½ a mashed avocado

2 romaine lettuce skins

1 whole meal bun

 

STEP 1:

In a large bowl, add turkey mince, olive oil, basil, salt & pepper and mix up with your hands until evenly mixed up!

STEP 2:

Make a large ball with the mixture and place on a foil wrapped baking tray, before pressing down making a round burger shape (aim for about 4cm thickness).

STEP 3:

Cook burger in pre-heated oven at 200 degrees for 30 mins. Meanwhile, cut an avocado in half, scoop out the flesh of one half and mash up into a thick paste with a fork.

STEP 4:

Once cooked, remove the burger from the oven, place on the whole meal bun, smear the avocado on top of the burger along with the romaine lettuce and put the lid on! This one works great with some sweet potato wedges!
